While close to 5 car owners with their families from Mangalore participated in the rally, it may be noted here that the participants had to cross five check in points at Mangala Devi Temple, Taj Mahal Hotel, St. Aloysius College and Kadri Park. In fact, the winners in this rally were chosen on the basis of average speed and time taken to cover the distance and the winners received attractive prizes such LCD TV, Digital camera and Microwave Oven.It may be noted here that the rally was flagged off by the South Region Marketing Manager- Mr. Parag Das. Under a move to gain significant presence in other segment beyond the small cars, Maruti Suzuki has launched SX4 limited edition called SX4 Royale. While, for now, the car is only available in Mumbai, it may be noted here that the SX4 Royale comes in two variants – VXi and ZXi and is priced at Rs 8.7 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).ith a view to offer superior features to the Indian consumer, the SX4 Royale comes with a reverse parking sensor, rear spoiler, neck support, Bluetooth compatible integrated stereo, reading light, door sill guard, transparent floor mats and leather seating cover.

The R3 concept is a compact Multi-utility Vehicle (MUV) designed by a team of Indian engineers from scratch keeping in mind the needs of Indian car buyers.The Concept R3 is a 6 seater with high head room, attractive styling and stunning looks. The car will be powered by Maruti Suzuki K-Series Engine which powers the Maruti Swift. There may be a diesel variant also which may share the same 1.3 Liters Diesel engine as does Swift Diesel.
This compact MUV may be launched around mid of year 2011 in India at a price point between Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh. The primary competitors of this car will be Mahindra Xylo, Toyota Innova, Tata Sumo Grande and other 6 seater MUV expected to be launched in this timeframe.
